What do I need to be ready for class?

FLAMENCO ATTIRE                             

Men: Comfortable pants


Women: If a total beginner any confortable clothing is welcome. If you are sure you want to continue with flamenco then you will need a full, ankle-length skirts.

SHOES

For total beginners we recommend first any character shoe if you have them or a shoe that is hard soled (leather preferably), with a covered toe and a thick heel no higher than 2 inches. No stilettos, sandals, open toes, sneakers or slingback shoes. If you decide to continue with flamenco you must purchase a flamenco shoe. There are a few options please ask us at classes@lataniaflamenco.com or visit the links page on our web site for additional resources. 

CASTANETS

Are required for beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes. They are not required for palmas class, bulerias por fiesta, bata de cola, cuadro class, or introduction to flamenco classes. Sometimes we carry them in stock with the school or you can purchase them at www.flamencowest.com
